Self-healing your body

If you have not read the section on "Self-healing your soul", then I suggest you go there first. The beginnings of healing yourself has to start with your mind and your soul.

You may be thinking "if I can heal myself, what do I need to see a healer for?" Well, for a start it's less work for me if you can do it yourself! :-) But here's an example to illustrate this point:

Imagine you've fallen into a hole. If the hole is not too deep, you may be able to get out by yourself – that is with self-healing – perhaps easily, perhaps with some difficulty. This can be the case with healing ... some holes may be too deep to negotiate yourself, and a healer can give you that vital boost that you may need. Even if a hole is VERY deep, someone could let down a rope, or a ladder and you could rise out easily. Again, this can be the same with healing, what may seem a daunting condition or pain may respond very quickly to healing.

But this page is about what YOU can do to bring your body into balance.


Discipline

You will find that a lot of this is common sense, but the greatest amount of common sense is useless if you are totally undisciplined. The tips on this page WILL have you feeling and living better, but discipline is required – especially if changing long-formed habits.


Alcohol and drugs

Not much space needs to be devoted to this topic. It is VERY obvious. Over-indulging in alcohol is detrimental to your health. I would say that you should NEVER get intoxicated. There's nothing wrong with the occasional drink, but when you overdo it, it's not just brain cells that you are damaging.

Drugs are very damaging to your brain and body and ALL recreational drugs should be avoided. These types of drugs can bring on severe mental disturbances, some of which you may never recover from. I'm not saying that because I'm a wowser, and don't know how to have fun. I have talked to people in mental hospitals who have been irreparably damaged by casual drug taking. The 'real' person will NEVER come back. It's devastating to their families, and for them it's very, very sad, and a complete waste of their potential. (Please don't think it will never happen to you.)

If you feel the need to take drugs, or get drunk regularly, I would suggest there may be something deeper going on than just wanting to have fun, and you should contemplate visiting a caring counsellor.

Getting intoxicated with drink or drugs also "opens you up" to coming under the influence of mischievous spirits who may be able to interfere with your energy and your thoughts. It opens you up because your natural protection against this, your aura, is disturbed or damaged.


Stop smoking - now!

OK smokers... I don't like you. You stink, you drop butts all over the place, and you DON'T look cool. Well, now I've got that off my chest, here's the real story. I don't need to tell you that smoking is damaging to your health. Everyone except tobacco company executives will tell you that. So stop. On another level, anything which has control of you impairs your spiritual development. How can you be calm and getting closer to God when you're more worried about having your next cigarette. Do not eat meat or eggs

"You must be mad" I hear you say. "How can I survive without eating meat?" Well I'm here to tell you that not only will you survive, you will be more healthy, have more energy, and suffer from less illness your whole life.

Firstly, I will tell you that I stopped eating meat for ethical reasons. I came to the realisation that it is wrong to kill and eat animals when there is so much else to eat. BUT, having stopped, I discovered that I was never getting sick, and I felt brilliant. Then I began finding so much evidence to support the health aspects of veganism, I am more than sold.

The human body is not meant to eat animals. You are more likely to suffer from every major illness if you eat dead animals.


What about eggs?

Eggs are often "grown" in severely polluted sheds, from abused hens who are pumped with antibiotics and hormones. Do you really want to eat that? (Apart from the fact that they are very high in cholesterol.)


Dairy products

Do you suffer from asthma? Do you find you have a lot of mucous in your throat after eating dairy? Do you suffer from sinus problems or ear infections? I used to suffer terribly. As a child my mother was always shouting to me: "Stop clearing your throat", and I'd pitifully say, "I can't help it". I could hardly breathe my throat was so full of mucous from milk or ice cream or cheese or butter. Since I stopped, so did the mucous.

My late mother-in-law suffered her whole life from sinus pain. It was suggested she should try going off dairy for a couple of weeks. After 65 years of suffering from sinus pain, it stopped, when she stopped dairy.

I could go on and on with examples. Why don't you take the test. No dairy for two weeks: that means no cheese, no milk, no skim milk, no yoghurt, no butter, no margarine containing milk, no chocolate containing milk. Try it, and see if it makes a difference. I think you'll find it will.


What about osteoporosis etc?

The countries with the highest intake of milk, have the highest levels of osteoporosis and diabetes.

The countries with the lowest intake of dairy, have the lowest levels of osteoporosis and diabetes.

Did you know that an organisation called Consumer's Union tested milk in the New York metropolitan area and found the presence of 52 different antibiotics in milk samples ....

In summary

You can get all the nutrients and requirements to live a healthy life without eating meat, eggs or dairy. Investigate the wonderful array of soy products. People have lived without meat, eggs and dairy since the dawn of time, why is now any different? You will not just live a healthy life, but a significantly more healthy life.

Humans can digest meat, eggs and dairy, but with difficulty. Our bodies aren't meant to cope with it, and over a long period, the detrimental health affects are marked.

In the short term, if you are ill, you body needs all its energy to fight the current sickness. Because your body has difficulty digesting meat, eggs and dairy, it uses a lot of energy to accomplish that task – surely this energy should be directed to healing the body. Therefore, a vegan diet enables your body to fight infections better because it has more of the body's natural resources at its disposal.

Avoiding animal products in the diet has been favoured by some fairly decent minds throughout history: Pythagoras, Plutarch, Leonardo Da Vinci, Tolstoy, Shelley, George Bernard Shaw, Gandhi, Henry David Thoreau, Albert Einstein, Dr Albert Schweizer, Bob Dylan, Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Sir Mark Oliphant, Peter Singer, Anthony Robbins, just to name a few.

Not eating animal products has also been encouraged by many great Spirit Guides communicating through Trance Mediums, including Silver Birch and White Eagle.

Try it. You won't regret it. You'll feel better in your body, and your spirit will sing with joy in the knowledge that you are avoiding cruelty to animals. Plus it's a lot easier than you might think.
